The Sacrament of Marriage is one of the most beautiful moments in Catholic life, and St Patrick’s offers a setting that will take your breath away. Our breathtaking French Gothic church — Grade II listed, built from Codsall stone and red brick, with soaring red sandstone columns and original Hardman stained glass — provides an atmosphere of genuine splendour for the beginning of your married life together.

Within the church you will find:

A magnificent Norman & Beard pipe organ — one of the finest historic organs in Birmingham, dating from 1912, perfect for accompanying your hymns and filling the nave with glorious sound.

Breathtaking stained glass — believed to be by the great Birmingham house of Hardman, casting beautiful colour across the nave throughout the day.

Seating for up to 500 guests — in original pews worn smooth by generations of the faithful, beneath a magnificent wagon roof.

A stunning backdrop — the elaborate high altar of stone, alabaster, and coloured marble, with carved angels and Christ in Majesty above, creates one of the most beautiful settings for wedding photography in Birmingham.

A sacred atmosphere — St Patrick’s has been prayed in, celebrated in, and loved for 150 years. That history is present in every stone, and it will be present on your wedding day.

Getting Married at St Patrick’s

To be married at St Patrick’s, at least one partner is normally required to be a practising Catholic. We warmly encourage you to get in touch with the parish office as early as possible to discuss your plans, check availability, and begin your marriage preparation journey.
